John Cane, PhD, IWC

Executive Director & Founder

  • John’s area of psychological research integrates his training and experience as an actor with his personal interest in the psychology of creativity, and career as an Integrated Wellness psychologist.

For over 20 years John has offered self-esteem and confidence workshops to teens and adults. John now offers these workshops through the application of acting training that focuses on creative self-expression through the exploration of role-playing.

Acting can offer individuals opportunities to learn beneficial and creative ways to make more purposeful decisions in daily life and develop a healthier sense of self.

As a result of many years of conducting self-esteem and confidence workshops, and witnessing their positive effects on teens and adults, John sought to find resources so more classes could be available to those who did not have the funds to experience the benefits.

See Beyond the Obvious is about providing a way for people to turn hopes into action by knowing that the contents of a book are more important than its cover.
